Having just taken up book binding again after a 12 year pause, I was trawling round the local secondhand bookshops today, looking for suitable tatty books on which I can work. Talking to one bookseller, he mentioned a website www.abebooks.co.uk I'd never heard of it, but I've just been there and it's amazing! I tried searching for what I thought were fairly esoteric books and each time I had a choice of at least half a dozen sellers, sometimes a lot more. Prices seemed reasonable too. And yes, I came home with 8 books, only 2 of which remotely resemble "tatty". If the forecast is right and the fine weather's returning, I know what I'll be doing!

My other Achilles heel! Books! This site could proved dangerous to my pocket Ann. It's terrific. Several books I've looked for are on there, and as you said, with about half a dozen sources to choose from.
