Hi there, I've been gone for a while, but I wanted to share these photographs with you that I took, real quick, the other day... The Dakota, home to the rich and famous, including John Lennon, I believe his wife still lives there...72nd Street and Central Park West: Central Park on the West Side of Manhattan: Moving over to the East Side (the latest Donald Trump horror is hidden by the tree on the right, Columbus Circle: Madison Avenue and 69th Street Fancy Park Avenue Park Avenue with a view of the MetLife building, you've seen this before from my office, that would be Grand Central Station on 42nd Street And last, but not least, it is Hurricane Season, and this is the tail end of the Hurricane that is just hitting Florida, my view from my desk: Hope you enjoyed your tour of the City!

Loved it Gaby! Maybe one of these days I'll get to New York and see all the places that I've heard about over the years "in the flesh". In the meantime, I'll enjoy your pics.
I've been reading about the 2 hurricanes that are about to hit Florida in the newspaper here. They sound horrific and it must be very frightening to be a resident there at the moment.

Wonderful photography Gabby!
My father took my brother and me to New York City when I was in my teens. Like anybody from a small town I was very impressed with the over all grandeur of the city and the size of the buildings and width of the sidewalks….Everything is larger than life in New York, a truly awesome place to visit.

One of my closest friends is working in Shelter Island, just off New York, over the summer. She is working in a hotel as part of a "work America" scheme that students do over the summer months. I have recieved many emails and postcards saying how wonderful the city is and after looking at those pictures i am thoroughly jealous! I would love to go to New York

I am so thrilled that you are enjoying my photographs of the big bad city...I stood in the middle of Park Avenue to take the "GoGoGo" photograph...
I still think it is harder to live in London, but this City can be brutal (I'd much rather live on Shelter Island - so pretty) because it doesn't need you and make no mistake, it reminds you of that every single day...
I guess, I'll just keep on shooting, because I very much enjoy sharing my photos with you...
Tour to be continued...

I really enjoyed seeing the photos - Central Park looks lovely, and the hurricane one is very 'atmospheric'! The rest are great, too!

Thank you, Gaby for the photos. The old place hasn't changed very much. I haven't been back in over 15 years. My children would love to see where their mommy worked, so some day I guess I'll have to do the tourist-y bit with them. I'd much rather visit Manhattan as a tourist anyway. My kids would also like to see where I used to live in "da Bronx" Love that view from your office window!

Ahh...pictures of the Bronx...when I went to the Bronx Zoo, the subway didn't go all the way up there that day, so my friend and I had to get off smack in the middle of the South Bronx and then take the bus to the Zoo. I should have taken photos of the neighborhood! Next time!
