St Ives in Cornwall, just had a short trip down for some R & R, this is the view from the apartment window. for our overseas friends, this is a little fishing village, that is right down on the 'toe' of Britain. It became home to many artists (including Barbara Hepworth) and still has a thriving artistic community. The Tate Modern gallery is there and well worth a visit. A very popular stop on the tourist trail of Cornwall, and sometimes too busy now, unless you visit at the end of the season.

It sounds lovely Chris, but I didn't get the picture, unfortunately. Maria

What a lovely view. It's ages since I was in Cornwall, it's a beautiful part of the country.
Maria,
Photobucket was having some problems earlier today, and the picture links weren't working, but it looks like they're back and running now.

I love Cornwall! We live in Dorset so it is possible for us to get down to Cornwall and back in one day. We had a holiday there many years ago too, but it was March, and the weather was wet and windy and cold, but we still enjoyed visiting all those gorgeous little fishing villages, and we did stop off at St Ives, too, though I can't remember it very well. It was super to see the photo, Chris.

Lucky you Sue! If I lived that close I think I would be 'over the border' every weekend, it took me seven hours to get down there from Sheffield, and a heck of a lot longer to get back(Friday, M5/M4, yuck!)

I can see the picture now! It's a beautiful place. It looks a little like a Greek village in the picture, with the white buidlings clustered on the hill. Maria
