With what I have, oh let me be content, My clothes, my food are good enough for me. My home is leaning al (last line) Tender no more to twins? or 2 women (I recognise the fact that those 2 lumps of iron on the 10th line are part of a block and tackle, but can't remember which is which So being 2 would that make it plural?) Thats it brain fog set in

I had no idea they were part of a block and tackle Cathrin, they just looked like bits from a pulley system to me, which didn't help at all. Well done!
Aaaaaah! I've just been inspired whilst typing this. You're definitely right! The line is:
Which blocks the way to many a heart's true core
I think!
(How's that for a bit of teamwork?!)

Well done Edda!
I couldn't get past globe and sphere in line 4. I think the full line is
With something saved for mirth and jollity.
I'll update the running solution under the puzzle itself.
Cathrin,
Is that a horse's bit, as in "will stand a ..... bit more" do you think?

Trouble is, we've done all the easy ones (relatively speaking that is!), so we're onto the more obscure ones now. Plus of course, what was commonplace to a Victorian isn't to us. I'm sure it'll come back to you Graham! Just think back to when you were a boy! And anyone ......... stand ....... Is it "anyone" or could it be "no one"?!

What's really stumping me now is line 5.
If all seems ............. from the hearth and hall.
It's 2 syllables and ends in ease or ese or something sounding like that. Presumably it's a description of the letters (e's?), which are very ornate.
And is that a "k" in the ornate t in line 7 or is it part of the t? If it's part of the t then I think the line is:
I would not grander be than fits my lot.

I've filled in a couple more lines, but now I'm completely stuck.
Does anyone have any ideas what the missing words are? We've so nearly finished it.
