Is this a record?!
Cathrin, you were right, it was a ladle.
Between the 3 of us we've almost finished it. That was quite a sprint for the line Graham!
Do you think line 11 is:
When lo! one lady she spied. That would make it scan and I feel the low e is significant.
Still can't work out that plant though. You feel it's something along the lines of "Concerting each to give support", but I can't come up with anything that fits the picture of the plant minus a t and an s. I'm also wondering if the -s could actually be "less" to make it something like "Concerting each with tireless support" except there are too many syllables then.

That works.

Isn't it exasperating being left with one missing word?! We seem to be 2 syllables short in that line.
The only other thing is that while most of the lines have 8 syllables, there's still the odd one with less and I'm not sure if that's deliberate or if we've missed something.
Anyone any suggestions on punctuation?

I suppose line 11 could be 'espied', which would scan, but I don't know where the extra 'e' comes from.

I suppose line 11 could be ' espied', which would scan, but I don't know where the extra 'e' comes from. I'm sure you're right; you automatically want to say "espied" when you read the line don't you! "s" is actually pronounced "es" and I'm wondering if that's where the extra "e" comes from.

Perhaps the fruit in line 7 isn't a peach? But I'm getting no further forward with plum, apple or apricot!

"Concerting each with her support" scans and makes sense - sort of, but I can't reconcile it with the clues.

Is everyone finished with this one now? I confess, I gave up and looked up the answer. We're well out with line 7, so I won't post the solution just yet, in case anyone wants to look at the whole line afresh.

I wouldn't be surprised to find that that's not a concertina, but still can't make sense of the middle bit anyway. Enough's enough?

OK, I'll wait and see if Cathrin feels the same.
