But then again, when you're Siamese, stolen food always tastes the sweetest. What Spock's finishing off is the left over gravy from a steak and onion pie I had for my tea earlier this evening. Ann

Ah yes Ann, but then 'your' gravy is renowned throughout the known feline world.
I have a feeling that if you knew how to search for it, you would find that the 'dynamic duo' have logged you on an Egon Ronay scale somewhere.

And another thing!
What makes you so sure that stealing food is purley a Siamese trait?
I have five non-siamese here that are every bit as happy to 'help themselves' to my plate as Ming ever did. (Ming being the Siamese we used to have here). The only thing they are not so keen on is chocolate and crisps (Ming was a chocoholic, a habit we repeatadly tried to break her of). But apart from that I'd have a job naming a single food group that Silk does not enjoy trying at least once.

Now that Spock has licked all the gravy off the plate I can see that you have excellent taste in crockery - it is exactly the same as my own!!! (what's left of it anyway.......)

You know who your real friends are when you let them know the cats lick the plates and they (the friends) are still willing to come over for dinner! (Worse yet, they tell you their cats do the same.)
Or you go out somewhere for a meal and it just isn't quite the same without furry little heads getting in the way or giving you mournful-I-haven't-eaten-in-days looks (how do they manage to look so starved and neglected?)
Jennifer, my daughter, like to tell the tale of the time Sullivan, a most distinguished Siamese gentleman, made a run at her macaroni and cheese, and without stopping, grabbed the whole thing and ran off with it---to his delight. Once we stopped laughing, I gave her more--without the cat tooth marks.
One of my mother's favorite tales was about the time Butch, a black and white cat we had at the time, grabbed the Thanksgiving turkey and made off with the turkey and managed to snatch a drumstick and part of the breast before she caught him. She served it anyway, but didn't tell guests why part of the bird was missing or that it had been on the floor. (Mother had very clean floors, so you really could eat off them if you so chose.)
Life is never dull when you live with cats, just tell people you have a new environmentally-friendly dishwasher that conserves both energy and water,
Sharon

Mark,
You're absolutely right! It's very easy for those of us with Siamese to forget that there are plenty of extremely intelligent and chock full of personality non Siamese. Just take your houseful for example.
Members with non Siamese, and I know there are quite a few, will have to make sure they're properly represented on the Board, just to bring the rest of us back down to earth from time to time!

Laurence,
What a great series of pictures. But I can't believe P-D wasn't interested in the food! If I'd taken a series like that it would undoubtedly have been Dracs who featured and the final picture would have had him with the meat firmly in his mouth on his way to a secret corner to stuff himself.

Perhaps his tastes just run to stealing other things. Like tractors! (For members who are in the dark about Pen-Duick and tractors, go to www.catsup.co.uk/post.htm and scroll down to number 7038) Ann

Not interested in fud ?!?
I would be questioning his membership of the feline race!
Or dare I say it.... your cooking ;D
Maybe that tractor theft was instead a cat badly in need of something to eat, off to the local shops to locate something decent to eat ?? Have you been receiving any unusual deliveries of late? or unexplained purchases on your credit card statement?
A lot of supermarkets will now take orders over the web and deliver to the door I should know, I mean... or so I hear.
Now where was that bookmark to Waitrose?

I think I said before that Harley loves his strawberry at breakfast,Finnigan will eat one sometimes too. They both help me eat my lunch when I have yougart (plain or flavored) they are not fussy. The other night we had family in for a visit and when I made tea I took a vegetable cracker instead of a sweet and MaggieMay got on my lap and was checking it out, I asked her (in fun) if she wanted a bite , and held it out to her , she supprised all of us by grabbing a bite out of it. She liked it so much she wanted one of her own and ate most of it. The three of them are so different from Misty & Muffin Harley & Finnigan ;D
