As far as British comedy goes, I like "Goodness Gracious Me", especially the Guru and the Bangra Boys. Sanjeev Bhaskar has eyes to die for and that doesn't hurt either!
I once tried to get tickets for it from the BBC Ticket Unit and got some clown on the other end. He said all the tickets for the series that was about to be recorded had already been taken. He then went on to say, very seriously, that it was so popular that people also had to pass a test before they were given tickets. They had to go to a recording of an Asian magazine programme first. I swallowed it hook, line and sinker and told him that it would be quite difficult to make two trips to Birmingham etc. He well and truly caught me and it was only after I put the phone down that I realised I'd been "had". He's probably still dining out on the idiot caller who believed him and I half expected to see it featured in one of the sketches!

im with saas. i think rescue me was a great show. im really sad its finished now - i hope they make a new series. i love frasier. it has lost a bit now in the new series. the episodes leading up to the daphnie/niles confessions were the best. they are being repeated on paramont just now and are just classic im also a fan of friends - who isnt? i also have to admit to being a buffy and angel fan! i thought it was naff before i started watching - but its really funny. esp the musical version they did recently - it was brilliantly written. the cats much prefer nature programms. however i did go into the living room to find dixon sitting on the remote and the motor racing being on!! the expression on her face was priceless! "Are we watching the first Internet romance on Catsup unfold?" That would be a soap opera.

Jaki's Mother is here in Ibiza. She does have her own studio apartment but prefers to spend her time with us. here we are watching our favourite programme - "Songs of Praise" [a href=" "] [/a] or maybe i should have posted this in "what do we all look like?" stephen

The thing I like about British soap operas is that the people on them look like real people living in real places. The soaps in the US all seem to consist of young beautiful people who don't resemble anyone I know living in fancy houses where I would never be invited.
Eastenders rules.

What am I missing? Anything? I don't watch TV as such. I always put Breakfast TV on if I'm awake (Or if I'm not) Malcolm is a remote control freak so it doesn't do to get interested in anything, consequently I tend to sit in the dining room and read or do crochet or dress make. He watches every soap on the box, including the Aussie ones. My TV viewing mostly consists of QVC of which I have to admit, I'm an addict. Linda

I like "Mr.Bean" even though they are all reruns when we get it now. I also like "Fraser", X-files, E.R. My husband wouldn't miss Coronation Street for anything! If he has to work, I tape it , for him each week. I like a good mystery too.

Heather,
It would almost be worth ending up in the ER if I thought I'd get someone like Luca treating me!

H'mmmmm. I forgot to mention that Sunday night is my guilty pleasure. From 7:00pm through 10:00pm I watch Futurama through the X-Files. I'll skip Malcolm in the Middle at 8:30 sometimes though, it's too noisy for me. Then I'll turn over to Nickelodeon to watch "Nick News" with my hero Linda Ellerbee. Then it's back to Fox and the X-Files. I don't get the "Eastenders" so I don't know what's happened since almost two years ago. I should go onto their website and catch up. Oh and I am hooked on "Survivors" and "The amazing Race." I need a life.
