I've already posted pics of the lovely Dicker, the grey and white cat who lives in the flat below mine in Germany and who instantly befriended me. There are several other cats who live in the building, but the only one I ever see wandering about outside apart from Dicker is Felix (pronounced Faylix). Felix is extremely nervous and it's taken almost 2 years to persuade him that he's not in mortal danger every time I cross his path. When I was here in the spring, he finally let me scratch his neck and his eyes stopped looking like 2 saucers whenever he saw me. This trip he's become even friendlier and has been inside the flat several times. This has led to some interesting situations. A week or so I came home to be met outside the building by Dicker. He promptly followed me inside and upstairs to find Felix curled up on the doormat outside the door of my flat. Neither looked best pleased to see the other and I left them on the landing staring each other out. Earlier this week Dicker came for a visit and vanished onto the balcony. From there he's able to make his way to a couple of the other flats. I wanted to make a quick trip to the supermarket, so I just left him to it. (If the weather's fine I leave the balcony door open when I go out.) I got back from the supermarket to find Felix on the doormat again. Thinking Dicker had probably found his way back outside via one of the other flats I let Felix in. Big mistake! Dicker was curled up, inside the flat, on the mat by the balcony door. I managed to get them both out of the flat before WW3 began and they went their separate ways. I can see I'm going to have to tread very carefully in the future. It's very difficult to get a picture of Felix as, unlike Dicker, he's always on the move. I'd really like to get one of him with his saucer-eyed look, but this is the best I've been able to manage so far.

You have two friends now and they are loving you same time and one might be a little jealous. He looks like a big cat, he is so comfortable! Glad you're there and both went separate ways...avoiding big cat fight or WW3. I don't see pic of Dicker et, can you post it please?

Dicker has his own thread, but I didn't realise how far back it was, it took me several minutes to find it! You can find him here(He's actually with me at the moment, sitting by the table waiting for me to finish typing and give him some attention!)

Elli, his owner, tells me he's quite elderly now, although she isn't sure of his exact age as he came from a rescue centre. He certainly knows how to endear himself to people, that's for sure. Even Angelika, a German friend who's allergic to cats has a soft spot for him.

"Cats definitely know a sucker when they see one!"
You are so right...there's this outside cat I called him Tiger, he comes to visit us all the time maybe he's falling in love with Macha lol I told him Macha is just a kitten. I feed him every night, each visit, I petted him too and Macha watching (her eyes were so big, wondering who is that cat)and he was purring rock and rolling on the floor. Tiger sensed that I love cat and comfortable with me. Each night Macha waits by the window if Tiger arrive and she will give me a sign by meowing and running near the window.

Does he have a home that you know of? If he lets you pet him, he certainly doesn't sound like a feral.

Maybe he has a home, Tiger is so friendly. I think he owns the neighbourhood lol but he loves to hang out more here coz he can see Macha. The way he looks at Macha there's something there, they talk sometimes, Macha mrrrrrs and get too excited then Tiger showing off and laying on the cement floor like attracting her lol so funny and cute.
Macha doesn't want to go out, she's scared when I opened the door, she was like that since the beginning, that's okay with me coz I don't want her too go outside. When I got visitors Macha hides too, she doesn't like anyone, with me she's really happy and comfortable.

A lot of cats enjoy visiting. My parents used to share a cat that lived over the road from them. His owner, Liz, was at work all day and he clearly enjoyed human company, so he started spending the day with my parents, who were retired and loved cats. My Dad used to take him home around the time Liz was due back from work and he'd spend the evening with her. Apparently it was a familiar sight, around tea time, to see my Dad crossing the road with a cat following closely behind him. Liz and my parents also became good friends, all through the cat.

He knows it that your parents loves cats and spending time with them while the owner not around will the best, he will get all the attentions and enjoyed the company of your beloved parents. Cats instinct very strong and their timing as well lol very smart cat. Cat lovers like us would pet any cats out there (if they allow us) they are just adorable and cute that we can't resist.

When I would go on a trip, my next door neighbor, Lee, would come over and take care of Gracie. After exactly three days, Gracie would decide to move in with Lee and her senior citizen cat Punkin. Lee would let Gracie out during the day but at night she would come back to Lee's place. Each morning Gracie would check my apartment and eat her food there then back to Lee's. During the day she would go back and forth from my place through a cat door in my window to Lee's apartment where she would meow to be let in.Sometimes, though, she would just spend all day napping at Lee's enjoying the company of Punkin and Lee. Before retiring to Lee's for the night, she would go back to my place and eat her supper there, then to Lee's again. I think she was looking to see if I had returned.
When I returned home, Gracie would stay with me and not return to Lee's until my next trip when Lee would once again take care of her.
Gracie would often drop by the neighbors there if the opportunity of an open window presented itself but only just long enough to walk around the apartment, say "Hello," and leave. Always well mannered, Gracie was never one to overstay her welcome.

What a nice story. Cats are so adaptable aren't they? They may complain about changes to their routine, but they're very good at working out how to manipulate those changes to their best advantage!
