Hi Kathy, they are sooooo cute! Ranger looks like she's got a tabby "saddle". I think I like the photo of Sonny best.

Here are the long awaited update pics: All of them together: Lucy: Rosie (and Lucy again): Sonny: Theyre all getting big now, and are starting to wean (better late than never!). Rosie isnt interested in proper food yet - any ideas on how to get her to eat? Thanks Kathy xxx

They are adorable. We need more kittens on this site I think when they are ready, they will eat...wouldn't worry yet, although, knowing me, I would worry... Any potential adopters yet?

What beautiful markings they all have.
Can't help with the weaning question I'm afraid as I have no experience at all. Some of the CRR members may be able to help though.

Hi, Kathy
What absolute beauties!!
As to the weaning, it seems to depend on the kitten. I don't have much experience, and all mine is of orphans, but for what it's worth here's the way it went tor me.
Tam and Zack were "bottle babies", which meant that they didn't have mum's example, so I had to try tempting them with all sorts of things. The only things which really got them going were semi-melted cheese (chopped up) and fresh-cooked salmon chopped up. Cheese always seems to be a winner in this house with cats that are a bit snooty about food.
Tam took to catfood solids at about 6 weeks, he started to eat the crunchy stuff. Zack only really took to catfood solids when he was going on 10 weeks, and once again it was the dry food. I don't think he stopped looking for his bottle until last week, just before he went to his new home.
This litter of 4-week babies which I now have is varied. Billie simply doesn't know how to do anything except _bathe_ in tinned kittenfood, and I'm giving her a bottle to supplement what little she does absorb. Tux and Spats happily eat sloppy kitten food and I even saw them tucking into the adult dry food too, plus Spats is good at lapping water. Peaches is very messy about it but does manage to eat some of the tinned kitten-food.
With Ranger and her siblings as an example, I should think your Rosie will start eating properly before too long. if nothing else, Ranger is likely to push her away at some stage, and then she'll _have_ to eat.
Cheers
Carolyn
