His breeder said to me, 'Ben will eat anything.' I had muffins (English) and jam for breakfast this morning. So did Ben Tuli. Snatched it, he did, licked the jam off, then took the muffin onto the floor and chewed it up. Anyone else have a cat with strange tastes in food? Linda

Linda, our Siamese are both very keen on jam or marmalade - if we have tea and toast in bed we literally have to fight them off or they would wolf the lot! Sacha our first Siamese was mad on scones and had no scruples when it came to stealing them. One night he climbed on the bench, forced open a cupboard door and pulled a plate of scones on to the floor, he was calmly sitting amongst the broken china munching on a scone when we came to see what the crash was!

If it's food they're not meant to have, the boys like it all! I came downstairs one morning to find the tops of some bilberry muffins had been scraped off and eaten. I also once watched Dracs polish off some left over enchilladas with relish, despite the fact they contained chilli powder.

My old meezer Pishchick used to love to eat Doritos.
My sister had a kitty who liked water melon.
