Cat Songs

When I first meet people, I usually confess right up front that I'm eccentric--it saves a lot of grief and aggravation later on. But only a few people know that I make up songs for the cats. Does anyone else do this?

For example, Ching's song went to the tune of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, a Disney movie from the sixties. If you know the tune, the words went,

Ching, Ching, pretty, pretty Ching Ching
Pretty pretty Ching Ching I love you.
Ching Ching pretty, pretty Ching, Ching
Pretty pretty Ching Ching, yes I do.
Oh my pretty little Ching Ching
Pretty little Ching Ching Cat

And on and on from there about all of the wonderful things about her.

Leonardo's song is to the tune of Mona Lisa:

Julius' song is to the tune of Camelot

I won't bore you with all the songs for all the cats, but they do seem to enjoy having their own special songs. And they put up with my singing, which is kind of them.

I'm more inclined to dedicate certain existing songs to my cats, mostly because I can't sing :-) Some of the cats have several songs dedicated to them.

i get the big 'exclamation point' from the cats - and my son cries 'no mommy no singing'. despite the fact i am quite skilled at turning an existing song into one with (semi) dirty words!

Apparently in the Big Brother house they've just been dancing to the Bee Gees' 'How Deep Is Your Love.' That's Thor's song! Alex crawled into bed then jumped out again when he heard the music - proves that 70s music is the best.
