My friend Joan is staying with me for a few days. She's a keen photographer so today we went off to Warkworth to have a walk along by the river there. I was happy feeding the ducks and the gulls whilst Joan was taking her photographs. The first pic is one of the few I took as I loved all the autumnal colours on the trees. These are pics Joan was taking as I was feeding the gulls. I was fascinated by how they could catch a piece of bread in mid air. Not only that, but they were lining up. It was like a mini airport! One gull would appear in front of me, grab the bread and bank off to left or right as the next gull lined up for his snack. In this first pic you can see a gull banking off to the right as the next one comes in. The piece of bread is on the right of the pic. It never hit the ground! This is just another great shot of Joan's.

the autumn colours are so beautiful! we haven't much of it here, only one or two trees. the rest are evergreen (not much fun). the 'in-flight' photos are fantastic! birds are such amazing creatures.

The photographs are stunning. I love the Autumn colours and Ann, you've captured the refelction in the water beautifully. It looks very peaceful. Joan's birds are wonderful and they look like they should be in a wildlife magazine. Fantastic shots. Maria
