After watching Bailey for a moment, Ribbons decides to try her paw at the problem as Bailey looks on in anticipation... AAaahhh....!!! Success....the ice cube has been liberated...!! Ribbons gives it a few sniffs...paws at it cautiously, and decides it probably wasn't worth the effort... Bailey, however finds it fascinating...but becomes a bit flustered again when it proves near impossible (and a little uncomfortably cold..!) to pick up and carry... No matter...he simply hockeys it around the room for a moment... His curiousity is now sated and the ice cube slowly melts in defeat...for Bailey, it's off to find another world to conquer..... "hhhhmmmm....have I pulled the clothes hook off the back of the bathroom door yet today...?" ("yes...you have...TWICE..."..) Miles

Life's certainly never dull when you have a couple of Siamese around. I've been entertaining visitors recently and they're all enjoying the Bailey and Ribbons sequences.
Just one thing Miles. How many cold wet patches of carpet have you and Lady Deb trodden on in your bare feet since the ice cube game began?
(My current guest, also a cat lover with 3 of her own, is up before me every morning. She came downstairs the other day, bare foot, narrowly missed two patches of sick by the bottom of the stairs, but only noticed the small and luckily very hard brown lump by the cat litter tray when she stepped on it.)

Ann, Luckily, we haven't found any yet...."ice cube hockey" is one sport we DO monitor closely...when they're done, the "puck" (or what's left of it...!) goes in the sink...! Miles

Great sequence of pictures, Miles! Bailey and Ribbons are both such pretty cats.

Your pictures are priceless!
I had a kitty who liked to play "ice cube hockey" on the kitchen floor. When it hit the lviing room rug, she would lose interest because it didn't slide around any longer.
