I've been half looking for a small birdbath to put on top of the shed in the front patio for several months. Nothing really tempted me until a couple of days ago when I was at one of the local garden centres and found this one. I think the idea is that if it rains heavily enough, water will collect on the top and turn into a little waterfall. (It was actually called a Waterfall bird bath on the label.) No doubt I'll find out if it works in due course!

I like that one Ann, it even has an overflow lip on the bottom section. If you get rain like you did the other week, that would fill up a water tub placed in its overflow path in no time, then you would save even more water and could water plants with it

I hadn't noticed the overflow on the bottom! I don't think I'll be able to do much with it though as a water tub would block the door to the shed and one of my wheelie bins is inside! It's taken a while, but at least one blackbird has decided it won't eat or do horrible things to her. The picture isn't great as it had to be taken from inside my kitchen, but ................

Really like that birdbath Ann, very pretty and it looks like the birds will be happy too.
