Kiki the 'knee percher' decided to be a 'thigh hugger' today, and that led to me making a discovery re: said puss. On the back: fur warm/hot on head & back of neck, also on base of tail topside. Cool down sides and major plane of the back. Now... to the tum... warm all over but verging onto hot between front leggies and back ones as well. Legs mostly cool, but paws mildly warm. She put up with ALL of this, but drew the line when I tried to brush her. ;D

I can understand the warm/hot tummy, but the head? Sounds like she was enjoying her serious stroke though!
Alexander's favourite spot was a wooden shelf by a heating vent (I had ducted air heating in those days). He could lie there for hours with the warm air gently wafting over him. He had sweaty paws however and after a time I noticed the finish had come off the shelf and there were paw shaped marks in its place!

Kiki would like it to be understood that her head was warm because of all the "hard thinking" she has to do when that pooch girly, Sugar, is running about. Revenge is a dish best served cold, but all that plotting can make your brains feel like a high-powered engine.
