Hi Miles. At this moment in time, all I can say is that he's holding his own. He hadn't lost any more weight and James said he was better. Unfortunately he's still skin and bone and still has diarrhoea. At least he's eating, but still not drinking enough to make up for the fluid he's losing. He's had some baby kaolin and a hard boiled egg tonight. This should help to bind him. James the vet says it could be about a week before he starts improving. The poor little scrap is so thin and drawn looking though. It's not fair to be poorly at his age. He's just over 10 weeks old. Linda

Jayne, we'd had him 2 days and he was constipated. I gave him one dose of liquid paraffin and he was fine for a week. Suddenly he came down with diarrhoea, wouldn't eat, lost weight. I tried everything to try to cure the diarrhoea, I've been at the vets every other day, giving him fluid by mouth every 15 minutes. I spoke to 3 breeders over the weekend. All said try him on raw meat. Ben had lost .6k since Friday. He weighed .5k this morning. James the vet gave me some sensitive stomach diet for him this morning. I asked James if raw food was an idea. He said not at the moment. Ben wasn't too keen on the diet stuff and anyway it vacated his stomach after just over 3hr. I went into town and bought some rabbit Yeomans and gave him a little. So far he's had 6 meals, 3 mixed with the Waltham sensitive diet stuff and he only used the tray after 7 hours. Most of what he did was solid. Do you think I did the right thing? As a breeder? Ben had tricat at 8 weeks 4 days. His breeder was moving home and wanted to home the kittens before she went. She has since said she'll never let them go early again. One or two people have had problems. I'm having to use the mobile to contact her as she hasn't had a phone line connected yet. Linda

So sorry to hear that little Ben Tuli is still having problems.
When Henry and his brother Olly were about 14 weeks old they had the same symptoms, vomitting and diarrhoea at the same time and it was frightening the speed in which they lost weight. After indifferent results with antibiotics the vet decided they might have giardia and treated them for that. They picked up straight away. Just a thought.
I do hope he will be well on the mend soon.
Regards Denny
