If the weather stays nice and warm and sunny, I'll probably go into Munich again next week. It only takes an hour on the train from here and the station is just 3 or 4 minutes walk from the flat. I'll just make sure it isn't a Monday!

I have read that there are many in Japan because for the most part apartment dwellers are not allowed to have pets in their apartments. They only way they can enjoy the company of cats is to visit a cat cafe.
Roxie would be in heaven. She loves visitors. Gracie would have liked it too. My other cats would not have cared for it.

Second time lucky. Today has been cold and wet, so it seemed like a good day to head into Munich and hit the shops, although not before I checked out the cat cafe. I was pretty damp by the time I arrived there as it's a fair walk from the main station, but at least this time it was open. Sorry there aren't more pics, but I'm a typical reserved Englishwoman abroad and was a bit self conscious about wandering around with a camera. As well as that, the cats seemed to be spending most of their time at the back of the cafe where it was dark and I'd read online that customers were specifically asked not to take photos using a flash. At one point 2 ginger cats, closely followed by a Siamese decided to do 2 racing circuits of the front part of the cafe, but had I tried to capture that, all I'd have got would have been 3 blurs. Thankfully the route included the floor under my table and not over it! I was greeted by a waitress with a Siamese called Saphira draped over her shoulder. She kindly let me take a photograph. (Saphira's fur was silky soft.) The cafe only serves lactose free, vegan food with gluten free options thrown in, so, not being vegan, lactose or gluten intolerant myself, I opted for safety with a slice of cake and a cup of coffee. The cake was being closely guarded. For a while, I had a companion, the climbing frame was right by my table, but after he'd taken a quick look at what I was eating, he lost interest in me despite the fact that he'd enjoyed having his neck scratched while I was waiting for my cake to arrive. (Note the empty shelves strategically placed along the wall in the background! They were varying lengths.) The cats all came from an animal shelter.

Brilliant - It's definitely a place to de-stress and unwind! The cake cupboard looks suspiciously like our computer cupboard at school! LOL! I wonder how many times things get knocked over during mad half hours!?? xx

Interesting thought. It could be a case of "Now you see it, now you don't" as your cake and coffee go flying across the room!
