We've been having some glorious weather here in the UK. Consequently my central heating has been switched off for long periods. This has at least proved that Dracs isn't surgically attached to the radiator as I was beginning to suspect. (He lies on top of it.) He's been prowling around looking for alternative sources of heat and this morning I found him on top of the fridge. I transferred his blanket from the top of the radiator to the top of the fridge and got the camera. What unusual places have other members found their "heat seaking missiles" curled up in/on? Ann

Well Felia is rather fond of sleeping on top of Cat's (my wife) pc, only problem is, with the amount of fluff this girl sheds per day, I know have to make sure I clear out the fan vents on a weekly basis. But also under beds, in draws, behind PC's on top of hi-fi's on monitors (tip! buy a TFT )Drizzt dozes on top of doors, on top of fishtanks (they even broke a lid last week) But then we all know about this, its a basic scientific fact. which can be calculated by the formula: s/cth<p>Xv f where s = number of flat surfaces available c = number of cats in the house at the time t = the time of day h = number of humans there to witness it p = the probability of a photo opertunity v = the volume of heat dissapated by the surface in question. and f = the time in hours before the next feed

The one tiny, sliver of sunlight that gets into a room. The rest of the room will be in the shade, and there will just be a tiny patch of sunlight peeking through curtain. A cat will always find it. It might be on the sofa, in the middle of the floor, on top of the dressing table...but a cat will always seek it out!

Well Ann I know you can quote me for saying many things in my time, (a good number of which I would probably regret ) but saying cats are simple has never been one of them ;D ;D

Bailey and Ribbons have taken to dozing on their tree when the afternoon sun hits it the strongest...but it's been cloudy the last 3 or 4 days (we even had a brief snowstorm 2 days ago..!) and they've been rather disappointed.... Great pics of Dracs, Ann...! Miles

Ref cat fur: Just see it as an export opportunity. When our cat Rigsby was alive we used to travel a lot. Every time we opened our suitcase, out would fly Rigsby's hairs. It makes you proud to know that your cat DNA is being spread worldwide by the wind. Maybe cat hair is the cause of global warming, the fur rises to the stratosphere and acts as a protective blanket. Felia's mum can give me a formula for that and I'll write a paper on it. Cats are smart. Why waste energy looking for warm places when you can just warm the whole world?

It's too late. I have stolen the secret formula. I have recently become a global moderator thanks to Ann falling for the cunning trap I set her. Soon, with the help of my master feline plan I will be a global DOMINATOR. Nobody will stand in my way. Soon your minds will be under MY control. 8)
Well, you can't blame me can you. The wife's spending the morning at the cat-sanctuary and she's allowed me ten minutes on Catsup between feeding Scargs and fixing the leaking tap.

Warm places - well, nothing strange about this one - under the blanket on the sofa! I get cold too and pull it up over all of us when watching TV. The cats get annoyed if I'm just sitting there without pulling up the blanket, and they start scratching meaningfully at it.

;D Both Devons and Siamese are renowned for there -i feel the cold and heat seeking skills and unusual places. Mine include- ontop of PC on top of Tumble dryer on top of table lamps ontop of radiator-4 inches up my jumper so i look a mishapen 9 months pregnant Screaming at the electric blanket switch-to ask for it to be turned on-only a matter of time before they figure it out for themselves i should wonder and on top of tv.
