You all know what talented authors we are, but there are lots of other talents besides writing literary masterpieces.
Ann says Alexander was a champion hunter. She used to think he was trying for the Guinness Book of Records. Not only did he catch birds and mice, but she once found a goldfish and a rabbit on her bathmat. (That was where he left anything he was especially proud of.)
We know Bella, Liffey and Pie have become expert freestyle skaters since their humans introduced polished wood floors into their house.
What talents do other cats have?

Hi Spock and Dracs, it's Rufus and I can do ANYTHING when my mummy is at home...she calls me her special Roach-Poacher, that means I catch the big waterbugs that come upstairs and into the apartment...you should see the fuss our mummy makes when she has to catch one! I am also very good at banging the blinds in the bedroom in the middle of the night against the wooden frames to make sure my mom wakes up to feed me when I get hungry in the middle of the night. It makes a very nice sound and it works quite well. Mom always gets up. I also like to play with water and like to spill our water dishes. It's fun, you should try it. When I spill the water dish in the kitchen I can watch the water run along the kitchen floor, but when I spill water on the carpet - I just don't know where it goes??? Anyway, it's a lot of fun. I also spilled the goldfish bowl 3 times, but then the bowl broke one night and Mr. Fish wasn't too happy, so mom moved it to a place where I can't reach it...and I do like to investigate everything that's under the sinks...you never know what you may find...anyway, got to go...must snooze a bit more on my bed. The Dorset Delinquents reply: Astra can do 'head-over-heels' on command (providing none of the others are around to distract her!) Rosco can jump up the front of his humans from the floor to their chests when they click their fingers at him! 8) Elsa can lick a yogurt pot so clean you could use it again! Faro can make himself invisible and disappear totally whenever you want him, yet be right behind you when you turn around! And Jacob, well, he's still learning, but we're sure it won't be long before he has his own particular little trick to impress us with!

My Aunt's long departed cat, Sammy, once came into the bedroom with a HUGE Koi carp and proceeded to eat it on the carpet. My Oscar once came home with a large joint of pork one sunday evening. (I didn't ask...)

Well Jake could set the phone for a 7am alarm call. That caused a lot of rows in our house until we saw him do it one day and realized it had been Jake all along! ;D
Hagar was a very talented cat. He could remove a chicken from the weekly shopping in under 5 seconds and be away with it so fast that nobody caught him. His owners had to guard the weekly shop against theft! He could also open all cupboards and the fridge and help himself so locks had to be installed on everything. He could also open the microwave and take the food from that so the microwave couldn't be left unattended. And just to prove his genius he'd get his tin of food from the cupboard and the tin opener from the counter and he'd sit there and try and work out how to open the tin! He never did work it out but he gave it a good try.

LOL! As some of you will know, I am one of the humans owned by Bella, Liffey and Pie (champion freestyle skaters). I actually thought of entering them for the winter Olympics, but I thought it wouldn't be kind, considering their hatred of all things cold. Actually, they probably are not quite ready for international competition just yet - they have yet to perfect the 'stop sliding' technique!

Well most of them have had some unique talent, even Drizzt with his special wake you up in the morning powers.
But I guess Silk is the best thief/burglar I have ever known. He used to steal Cathrins purse and he can turn lights off and on, he is exremley dexrose (for an animal without oposing thumbs) and can even pick up a pearl in one paw, but it is doors that are his speciality:
He can open nearly any door in the place and even manages half twist locks.
We had a sliding galss door I was trying to stop him opening, so rather cleverly (or so I thought) I cut a small piece of wood to drop into the grove, thus stopping it being slid. Silk simply walked up to it looked at it, and then carefully hooked the piece of wood out, then looked at me as if to say: 'There I've just done you a favour, that bit of wood would have stopped the door opening!' before walking off. I must admit that although we thought this, we did think it just coincidental. Then more recently I tried to stop them opening the cupboard that we keep the cleaning stuff in (for obvious reasons) and so placed a peg between two loops, thus barring the door, and he did exactly the same thing, in fact he looked positivly miffed that we were daft enough to try the same trick on him.
BTW anyone know of a good source for combination padlocks? ;D ;D

Iggy can dash at full speed from one end of the apartment and jump on a play mat or little cat bed and slide all the way across the floor. It is one of his favorite things to do.
Also Iggy can hold the pull string mouse in his paws and pull the string with his mouth. I am not making this up, he taught himself and I can hear him doing it inside the blanket fort.
Bowie can run so fast after the cat dancer he does flips in the air. They are my little circus cats.
The also can jump onto our backs from the floor. This provides a good vantage point and allows them to attack the chandelier!
Can anoyones cats play fetch? We have tried to teach them but they just run down the hall after the mouse and don't bring it back.

Rufus has learned to unplug the telephone, he'll just pull out the receiver attachment directly from the phone, when he decides that I have been on the phone for long enough...
And yes, he love to play fetch...

I have noticed something strange in investigating the problem. I know all the photos you are trying to link are accessible because when I hit them directly in another browser they come up no problem. But I was seeing all "x" where they should have been the first time this page loaded. I tried to hit modify to modify your message just to see if I could get at your code and see what the problem was. Of course I don't have permission. When I came back to the window though all of the pictures were loaded. I find that very strange. The easiest way I can think to post an image is to simple click on the button that looks like a little picture and is called "Insert Image". PLEASE NOTE: I put spaces in this message around the bracket symbols in the code below so that it is displayed properly for you to see. Your code should have no spaces around the brackets. You should see is this piece of code: [ img ] URL[ /img ] In place of where URL is put the entire path to your image. I made it red to stand out. Like this: [ img ]http://iggyandbowie.com/artBowieLisaTHUMB.jpg[ /img ] This code produces this image: I hope this wasn't too basic. Ann asked me to help. Christina :-)

This is Muffin and she has so much talent that she got on the "Cats Around The World ScreenSaver" She will be 13 this March. Can't forget Misty's talent, here she is after helping "Dad",when he knocked down a wall in this old house. She is Muffin's Mother! This is Harley & Finnigan's Mother,MaggieMay, her talent is to snuggle under your chin and give kisses. I think she is so glad to be inside, out of cold she loves everyone.

Heather,
Wheeeeeee! You're away!! There's no holding you now! And what lovely cats they all are too.
I love the picture of Harley and Finnegan cuddling each other, but they're all good.
So glad you're finally able to show us them all.
Ann
