I have a problem.
It is Felia, our little white fluff bucket and one half of the PMT's or Polaris Missile Twins... (they seek and destroy... anything and everything)
This isn't the problem, this is just something we've learned to live with along with the dying hope of having ornaments that are made of something other than cast iron or granite.
The problem is this:
I know all cats shed (to a degree) but I have never, and I mean never known a cat that can shed as much fluff as this girl can on a daily basis. And it is fluff rather than just fur, as Felia never seemed to grow out of that kitten soft fluffy stage.
By all the laws of natural science and physics she SHOULD be bald, as there is no natural way any animal could regrow fur at the rate she sheds it.
I mean the others shed their normal amount, and we can barely cope with that.
BUT we reguarly find piles, and I MEAN piles of white fluff collecting wherever it can and I'm talking deposits 2 or 3 inches thick.
Now I've had friends with Persians, Somali's and other long haired cats, and whilst I know that they get more than their fair share of furr deposits, it doesn't come close to this girl. I mean you'd need a herd of llamas to even get close.
Take today: now I KNOW I completley swept and washed the kitchen floor on Saturday, but today I move the litter bin to empty it and I find a two inch covering of fluff all around the skirting behind it, and THIS IS ABOUT 3 FEET OF SKIRTING, and I know its hers because it is still white and it is still soft and fluffy, and it sticks to absaloutley anything... well anything that isn't Felia it seems.
We brush her, we groom her, hell I've even vacumed her, she's deaf and therefore the noise doesn't worry her, she just seems amused by my efforts to combat the ever increasing fluff mountain.
I'm even starting to suspect that it's all a conspiracy to drive me insane, and that they go round emptying vacum bags and bins, replacing deposits where I'd least expect it.
I'm also starting to worry that I might suffering from some weird Sci Fi experiment thats gone wrong like in Quatermass and the Pit or something, and maybe one day it's all going to start collecting together like something out of The Blob.
Does anyone else have a fluff problem.
Please help, I think I'm drowning in fluff!!!!
