Last week Ann emailed me and informed me I had won a contest that I had entered a couple months back, the prize being a copy of her book - "Spock and Dracs -The Wilderness Weeks"...! We received the book this weekend, and enjoyed it VERY much....it's Life thru the eyes and hearts of her 2 Siamese cats, and it's very well written....! Bailey enjoyed it too, and I can recommend it HIGHLY to anyone who does not yet have a copy - the proceeds go to PDSA, so not only are you going to get a wonderful book you'll enjoy you'll also be donating to a very worthy cause...! Contact Ann or check the Catsup home page for information on how to obtain yours...! Ann, thanks so much....! "Spock & Dracs are sooo funny, Daddy...!" "Wow....when I get big, I wanna be just like Spock and Dracs....!" "Read it again, Daddy...read it again...!! Puurrese....??" Miles

Thanks for the great write up Miles. And the pictures are wonderful. Bailey looks for all the world as though he's whispering a comment into your ear in the second one and by the third one he's engrossed in the book. Looks like playtime's arrived after that. Quite right too, playtime's always more important than education when you're still only a few months old. PDSA does an excellent job helping the sick and injured pets of people living on means tested benefits in the UK and we're pleased to try and help them by donating all the profits from the books to them. (Anyone who doesn't have a copy can see some excerpts at www.catsup.co.uk/book.htm)

Bailey,
We're delighted to see that you're taking advantage of our experience and reading our books. You'll learn a lot about training your human from them.
We think you're probably asking Miles what one or two of the words we've used mean in the second picture. We wondered if "opinionated", "domineering" or "autocratic" were the ones you were having trouble understanding as they're big words for one of your tender age. They're all extremely desirable characteristics which you should work hard at acquiring. Don't believe a word Miles says if he tells you anything different. (Even the most loveable humans can be very devious when they want their own way.)

Love the pictures. Bailey's beautiful and going to grow into a handsome boy. He has to be handsome anyway, being named after my favourite tipple.

Miles has kindly let me use these pictures as a customer comment in my online shop, so I've been able to restore them from my webfolders. Just in case anyone hasn't seen it, Bailey also features in a new picture puzzle on Catsup. If you'd like to give it a try, it's at www.catsup.co.uk/game1.htmAnn

Ann, Thanks for resurrecting these...this series was lost in the Great Webphotos Debacle (along with all my other picture posts!). I still have the originals of all the photos I had stored there, so nothing was *lost-never-to-be-recovered*, but this particular series was one of our favorites... I can't repeat it enough - do pick yourself up a copy of this book if you haven't gotten yours yet....it's a wonderful story that you'll truly enjoy, and something no cat lover should be without. Ann is very generously donating all the proceeds to PDSA, and even tho I'm over in the US, I'm proud to be associated with this effort, it's a most worthy cause...! Miles

Thanks for the kind words Miles.
Yes, PDSA does a great job here. Veterinary treatment doesn't come cheap and they help to ensure that just because a person doesn't have much money, professional veterinary treatment is still available (free of charge), to their pets.
