Apologies for the quality of these pictures, but they were taken at too close quarters to be able to use the flash and I also had to take them onehanded! The sequence happened in the space of 5 or 10 minutes. It started with Dracs stretched out on my lap in his normal fashion. Then Spock wandered downstairs after his 6 hour afternoon siesta. Little by little he nudged his way further onto my lap. Until.... you almost certainly know what's coming next! Ann

ann the photos are great. its so nice to be loved! okay, even if it is just for the warmth! i count it as their attempt to be affectionate. p.s. great shoes! i was shoe shopping this morning and struck out! i would have bought a pair like that if i had seen them!

Ann, what a great sequence of pictures. I am still laughing at the expression on Spock's face in the last one!
Maybe you need to employ some 'surrogate laps' for these afternoon siestas. Maria

Lesley,
Those shoes are one of my best buys ever! They're actually black canvas and cost me less than £1 a few years ago. I covered a lot of Corfu and Malta in them. I next used them when I was emulsioning the living room and they got a bit paint splattered. I washed them off and they went with me to Spain. Sadly, I've now poked my toe through the front of one of them, so I just use them for gardening and to wear around the house, but they're SO comfortable. If I see them on sale anywhere, I'll be buying another pair for "best"!

Great sequence, Ann.... It looks as if Spock was making it quite plain who's turn it was on Mom's lap....! Miles

:)Great pis Ann and clever too. How right you are-one lap is not enough, its certainly true in my house-4 cats and a litter of kittens not only all squeeze onto my lap but wont budge for love nor money and me being me will sit for hours bursting for the loo, untill i finailly have to give in and as soon as you move one of and move the next the first ones back up again. ;D Jayne

The Jim Mcneill website is one of the funniest things I've seen. It absolutely hits the spot! I was laughing from the start. That is exactly what cats do! Thank you for the link! Maria
