Jen and I went to Falkirk last weekend to visit Jan, who posts as Mucklette and Rita and Lisa who post as Chalmers Cats. They're all members of The Cat Register and Rescue, a small no kill charity which operates in the Falkirk area of Scotland. Around this time of the year, they get abandonned kittens in, which they hand rear. When we were there, we made the acquaintance of Benjamin. He was orphaned at about 2 days old. When he was found by the CR & R, his eyes were still closed and he had lice. Jan took him in, bottle fed him and, 6 weeks later, he's thriving. He has a very fat kitten tummy, is full of energy and is a credit to Jan's dedication. Here are some pictures of him on my lap. Isn't he gorgeous? Ann PS When I got home, the boys seemed very large!

Hang on while I melt into a puddle of "aaaaa" -- what a little sweetie. How come he didn't mysteriously find his way into your pocket when you left What Jan, Rita and Lisa manage to do for so many cats is amazing. An enormous number of cats and kittens need help and can always be sure of getting it in their houses, and yet each little one is given truly individual attention. Carolyn

Tempting though it was, I knew that if I did, Spock would have had him for breakfast! LOL! You should feed those two cats more, preferably of course a whole pheasant each every day, or possibly a brace of partridges, then they'd be too busy sleeping it off to worry about incomers. Don't think I don't remember those pictures of your poor "starving" babies having to scavenge succulent morsels out of the grill for themselves ;D (grins, ducks and runs away very fast) Cheers Carolyn
