Before we left Falkirk earlier today, Jen and I called round for a final visit to Jan and all her orphans. The nursery (also known as the computer room) was full as usual and I thought members would like to see some of the current residents. The two tiny kittens in the first 3 pictures are only 7 weeks old. They were born just a couple of days after their mother was rescued by Cat Register and Rescue. Briony is the most beautifully marked grey cat. This picture doesn't do her justice, but considering I had my back to the window, it's come out much better than I expected. Baxter is a little older than the tabby kittens, but still quite small. Jan's keeping a close eye on him as one of his back legs seems to be giving him a bit of trouble. As ever, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Falkirk. CRR do a wonderful job rescuing and caring for the stray and feral cats in the area.

:-*O.K. I'm sold! Briony is absolutely stunning, and I would also take Baxter together with his gammy leg as he's so cute, and I'd take the baby kittens because they're so sweet.
Well that's my Christmas list done, what on earth the Girls will think when all these other little felines move in is nobody's business!

P.S come to that what Himself would say could be interesting as well!

Ah, they are just adorable! I just love looking at kitten pictures. Briony is very cute! She could be Baby's twin, but w/ the short hair, lol! ;D

There were 5 kittens in the latest litter. Four tabbies and one black and white kitten born nearly 24 hours after the rest. (Jan said she couldn't believe her eyes when she went in to check on the 4 newborns and found a fifth there!) They were still tiny enough to hold in one hand when I took the pictures - and I have very small hands. Jan was a bit worried about the smallest one of all on Friday, but by Sunday he/she was full of energy and playing happily with the rest.
CRR have a policy of not rehoming any cats or kittens in December, there are still too many folk around who think a kitten makes a good Christmas present, without considering the long term commitment, but I'm sure they'll all find good homes next year.

Hi there, thank you Ann for posting these lovely pics of the kittens, I might even have a try myself at posting pics over the holidays. Baxter is out of his pen now as the Vet thinks his leg problem might have been something he was born with. He is getting about fast enough even although he holds the one back leg slightly off the ground. Jan

Awwwww... (melts into a puddle of goo) what lovely little ones! I've not been to Jan's house for a while, and look what I've been missing...
Gaby, how sad that you had to give up Ms Olive. But of course your beautiful duo are doing their best to make up for that, I'm sure!
Happy daze

They all look really lovely, and how lucky for them to be looked after so well I help out at an animal rescue place in Crete when I go over there, and the number of abandoned babies is heart breaking..............if I lived out there, with their climate, I think I would own hundreds! Like the others have said, we love to see pictures of kittens Couldn't you just sit with them and cuddle them all day

Baxter is mega-cute. Of course they're all adorable and I am glad they're not allowed to be re-homed this month. They shouldn't have any problem come January.

Those kittens are seriously cute and gorgeous. What brilliant photos, Ann! I hope that they all get the good homes that they deserve. Jan does a wonderful job!
